ELLCGA SPRING MEETING AND CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING
AT LONGNIDDRY GOLF CLUB ON THURSDAY 30 APRIL, MONDAY 4TH AND TUESDAY 5TH MAY 2015
- The clubhouse will be open from 7.30 am and catering will be available.
- There is ample parking at the clubhouse, on the driveway and in the overflow car park but players may wish to share transport.
- Please arrive in good time for your tee time.
- Mobile phones must be switched off while on the course but they may be used with consideration in the clubhouse.
- Please register as soon as you arrive. Registration will be in the small room just inside the front door. As golf shoes are not permitted in the lounge area we suggest registering before unloading your car and changing your shoes. You will receive your card and be notified of any other information.
- There will be a 2s sweep – entry £1 – open to all players. Prize vouchers will be posted out after the event.
- There is a practice area between the 1st and 2nd holes, plus putting area and net at the clubhouse entrance.
- Push trolleys and electric trolleys will be available for hire but best to contact the Pro Shop beforehand if hiring the latter.
- There are 150 yards to middle of green markers and each green has a coloured flag indicating pin position (red- front; yellow - centre and white - back). Strokesavers (priced £5) are available from the Pro Shop and of course DMDs can be used as long as they conform to the requirements laid down in the Conditions of Competition.
- New bunkers will be marked GUR and relief without penalty must be taken within one club length of the nearest point of relief.
- There is a toilet located at the 6th/10th holes and the code is 453.
- The ladies locker room is small. We suggest bringing your own towel if you intend to shower.
- Please be at the tee 5 minutes before your tee time and use the clock in the pro shop for when to tee off.
- It is intended that play will be in twos and competitors are asked to play without delay, keeping up with the match in front. Wave the match behind through if you have to search for a ball etc.
- On completion of play please return cards as soon as possible to the registration desk, clearly indicating whether or not you are available to play in the Championship/Handicap Quaich on Monday and Tuesday. You may be required to play 2 rounds of matchplay in a day. Matchplay starts at 9.00 am on both Monday and Tuesday.
- The Committee will endeavour to inform those who have qualified but it is the player’s responsibility to check the County website www.ellgolf.co.uk, their emails and phone messages for details regarding matchplay tee times and opponents.
- Smart casual golf attire is acceptable in the clubhouse.
