Thank you to all the members who attended the ELLCGA AGM on Thursday on a miserable dark night. It was lovely to see all of those present. The meeting went smoothly and everyone enjoyed the junior report and news of our juniors from Wendy Thummamond. Elaine Dick gave the treasurer's report as Gwen was on holiday. She explained that the 100 club had been very useful although not as well supported as we had hoped. My report ran through the year's events detailing our junior success at the Cuthbertson Cup and also about our team's efforts at the Jamboree at Scotscraig. Thank yous were given to our outgoing committee members Marion Currie and Janice Reid for all their hard work. A big thank you to Liz McLelland our secretary for all her hard work over the past 3 years and a bouquet and heartfelt thanks to Carol McLeod our outgoing President.
The new committee members were voted in and delighted to welcome Eleanor Black, Linda Henderson, Francis Hall and Dorothy Thomson on to the committee. Janette Buchanan proposed Joanne Watt as her Vice president and she was also welcomed onto the committee.
The Committee had also suggested that Clara Young be proposed as an Honorary Member of East Lothian for all her representaions for County and Country and winning the Scottish Ladies Championship last year. Her mother Dawn brought the trophy and some of her medals and it was lovely to see such a beautiful trophy. Needless to say the motion was carried unanimously. A picture of the trophy is below
The Meeting then came to a close and we carried on with our prize giving. Congratulations to all our prizewinners and a photo of them is shown below. The meeting finished with Liz Dunn Butler giving a lovely vote of thanks.
