Jamboree Results Day 2
Today the weather was kinder at Mortonhall with blustery winds but fortunately we were dry . In the morning the foursome results were convincing against us with a 3 nil loss. In the afternoon the singles matches were keenly contested and at midpoint the result was looking favourable. Joanne Free had a great match against Louise Macgregor going to the 18th hole and Louise scrambling an amazing par from the thick grass she was embedded in off her drive. Joanne had had a great up and down at the 17th to maintain a halved situation but unfortunately her shot to the green was just over the back and narrowly missed her putt to allow Louise the win. Lauren Lee had a close battle with Laura Bissett losing at the 18th. Our hero of the day was Mary Lou Watkins who had a great win over Alison Davidson after being 2 down after 3 holes. The end result was 8-1 though I feel the quality of play of our team is not reflected in the result. We are looking forward to our match against Midlothian tomorrow who won 8-1 against Fife today.
