We are already nearing the end of November and the majority of round 2 ties have now been played.  I attach the updated results sheet. For those of you who have not yet played, just a gentle reminder that round 2 has to be played by 29th November.  If I have missed any of your messages please let me know.

Winter Foursomes 2015/16

Entries have now closed for this Winter's Foursomes' Competition and the draw has now been done although the competition does not officially get underway till the 1st October,

This year Janet Fairweather will be the convenor so the details for reporting results are:-

In some cases only the phone number for the first named of a pair has been listed. If you have problems making contact Janet will be happy to provide other contact telephone numbers. There just is not enough space to provide all the possible contact numbers and in some cases one of the pair is happy to be the main contact.

The rules for the competition are on the website in the section labelled "Conditions of Competition".

Fingers crossed for good weather to enable you all to get your ties played in enjoyable winter golf conditions and good luck.

Winter Foursomes 2014/15 Final

Congratulations to Gail McKill and Mary Lou Watkins in winning this year's Winter Foursomes. 

The weather was cold as is to be expected for a Winter Foursomes final but for once there was no howling gale or rain.

It was a very close game all the way with Mary Lou and Gail coming from behind to steal the match on the 18th from Anne Smith and Claire Miller.

Congratulations to the partnerships of Anne Smith and Claire Miller and Gail McKill and Mary Lou Watkins in winning through to this year's Final. There have been some long tough games and some tough conditions along the way.

Winter Foursomes Winners

Anne Marshall and Viv Cupples secured a one up victory over Diane Huish and Ros Thorensen in what was obviously a hard fought final played in suitably wintery conditions at North Berwick. Congratulations to Anne and Viv and thanks to every one who played and contributed to the competition.
