The move to bring the Scottish Golf Union (SGU) and Scottish Ladies' Golfing Association (SLGA) together as a single governing body has gathered momentum with a formal proposal being delivered to each organisation’s members this week.
Can I ask that each member reads the proposals which are on the SLGA website http://www.slga.co.uk/.
Mary Lou will cover this under AOB at the AGM but it essential that all members of the counties, and indeed all ladies in club golf are aware of the proposed changes. As you will see from the documentation on the SLGA website, a merger date of October 2011 is proposed. I can confirm there will be roadshows held in the very near future by the SLGA for members to attend.
