After a hard fought 3 day tournament over a long and hilly course we can now report the full results. All team members gave 100%, with day 1 and day 3 matches having a very close finish. Day 2 was never going to be easy but we were simply up against a very good quality team whose average age was a good bit younger than ours!

Team members are Liz Dunn-Butler, Joanne Free, Jane Herd, Lesley Johnston, Charlotte Munro, Keren Ward, Mary Lou Watkins and Dawn Young.
The weather was cloudy and damp underfoot on days 1 and 2 making the course play longer than its yardage. The greens although relatively smooth were very slow pace and many players from all teams struggled to get the ball up to the hole. With par 3's such as the 6th, called Khyber Pass 203 yds, and 17th, called Muckle Drap 164 yds you can maybe start to form a mental image of what faced us if you dont know the course! Day 3 was sunny and warm all day which brought the shorts out in many cases!
Thanks go to the team for conducting themselves in a manner that all ELLCGA would be proud of. As Captain I could not have asked for more from any player as they were all fully committed to the cause.
Thanks also to accompanying officials, for their hard work prior to and during the tournament, and to those who volunteered to come and caddy or simply to spectate.
