Two East Lothian Ladies took part in the Spanish Senior Women's Open Amateur Individual Championship at La Manga on Friday and Saturday last week. There were in fact only three Scots in an international field. Former Scottish women's amateur champion, Lesley Johnston (Gullane Ladies) was the leader of the Scottish challenge in T48 position with Sue Penman (Gullane Ladies) three shots further back.
Spanish international, Macarena Campomanes (78-78 for 156) was the winner with Lindsay Shaw from Derbyshire 2nd.
