The Pre-Season lunch was held for the first time at The Glen on Saturday 7th March 2015 and 53 ladies enjoyed the wonderful views, good food and refreshments. Judging by the decibel levels in the room they also seemed to find plenty to talk about.
Our guest speaker this year was Gillian Kirkwood and she entertained us with some interesting, instructive and amusing stories from her duties as a referee.
There was also a fun quiz and a raffle to raise funds for junior coaching. This year we have to thank Dunbar Golf Club for donating a round of golf for four, Gary Nicol (Archerfield), Alasdair Good (Gullane), and Martyn Huish (North Berwick) for golf lessons and Jackie Montgomery (Dunbar) for golf balls.
A few familiar faces were missing this year but it was good to welcome some new faces and who all promised they will be back next year. I think it is safe to say it was a successful afternoon.
