Many of our members took part in the 25th Sime Salver competition which was held at Dunbar GC on the 8th October 2015. The competition was played in wonderful conditions after all the rain earlier in the week. The course was in good condition after the rain but many found the bunkers more often than they would have liked and the greens tricky.
The Glen A Team - Jackie Smith, Margaret Ross, Gill Whittaker and Karen Probin were this year's winners with a score of 158 just pipping the two Dunbar Teams. (The winning team photo will be posted shortly.)
Anne Sime presented the Salver and vouchers and then joined Dunbar team members past and present for afternoon tea to mark the occasion.
The first completion in 1990, which was won by a Dunbar team, was played at Gifford and the post competition refreshments and prize giving were at the Tweeddale Arms. Many people recalled past competitions, and players and how many times many of them had played over the last 25 years and everyone seemed to have enjoyed their day.
