On Sunday 17th April the four East of Scotland County Juniors Teams competed for the Cuthbertson Cup on a very blustery day at Craigielaw Golf club. In the morning Midlothian played Fife and Stirling and Clackmannan played East Lothian. The girls all played well in very difficult conditions. The Craigielaw greens are a challenge at the best of times but with the windy conditions this increased the difficulty and the wind chill did not help either.
Midlothian beat Fife in the morning 2.5-1.5 and Stirling & Clackmannan beat East Lothian 2.5- 1.5.
In the afternoon Midlothian beat Stirling & Clackmannan in the singles 4-0 to win the Cuthbertson Cup. Fife and East Lothian playing foursomes halved both their matches. Well done to Midlothian for winning the Cuthbertson Cup. All the matches were played in a lovely manner and I think all the Counties can be very proud of their respective teams in the standard of golf and their decorum on the course.
